How to Properly Use Your Brush
Chances are, that after your wash and drying routine (blowdry or airdry), your hair may feel a bit drier than normal. Try using a square paddle or oval brush to help distribute oil from your roots to the rest of your hair.
1) A GOOD TIP
For tangle-prone hair, use a large, wide toothed comb to detangle prior to using a brush for better results. After using the large toothed comb, brush your hair gently. Brushing your hair harshly will cause split ends and tear your hair out. Doing it gently will make your hair so much more manageable when it’s dry.
2) BE GENTLE
Always brush your hair with soft, gentle strokes. The massage created from the brush strokes promotes good blood circulation to the scalp.
3) WORK IN SECTIONS
Brushing hair in equal sections gives a finished sleek touch to the hair and cleans the dust and dirt from the hair.
4) HYGIENE
Never share your hairbrush with any other person for better hygiene and to protect your hair and scalp from any infection.
5) BIG NO-NO
Ok, this No-No may not apply to everyone. Some people and stylists prefer to blow dry on wet hair. It’s your choice. Just be gentle.
We recommend to not brush your hair while it’s wet because the roots and overall strands of the hair are at their weakest point when they are wet. So brush them when they are dried completely.
6) TECHNIQUE MATTERS
To set styles with your brush; creatively use your brush, your hand, and even a comb to get the desired style. See our videos.
