This HS6450 Tail Comb is 9.25″ long has a 4.75″ tail that is strong and sturdy. The HS6450 Tail Comb has extra wide teeth with embedded teeth on the back. This comb was selected especially for those who do not want a super fine tail comb. This comb will work great for sectioning and combing thru wet and dry hair. The teeth are wide enough to accommodate thick sections of hair. Works well in the 3rd Phase of the 3Comb Smooth during styling.

I tried my first roller set in a long time using this comb. I have to say the results were so much better than I expected. Having the right tools really does make all the difference. I used the 3 comb method and my hair melted like butter. I found this comb to be gentle to the hair yet effective at making parts and smoothing the hair for a sleek style. i love this comb…
when i style my fine textured afro hair, i like to use a comb with finer teeth to smooth sections of hair as the final step before twisting or roller setting or whatever.
my fine hair is also very dense and is not shy about breaking combs and other hair accessories. this comb is very sturdy and meets my needs perfectly.
not to mention, the final smoothing helps prevent those pesky knots from forming.

WHEN I FIRST SWITCHED TO THIS COME, I DID NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE AMOUNT OF HAIR LOSS I SAW. HOWEVER, I HAVE SINCE SEEN ABOUT 50% LESS HAIR LOSS WITH EACH SHAMPOO. LOVE IT!

So, I am using seamless combs solely for my type 3c 4a natural kinky hair. This comb is a staple for parting and smoothing hair for roller set, twist, braids and fine detangling! I enjoy all of my HS combs and I have several, and plan to buy more when the budget allows! The are necessities for natural, relaxed and all heads of hair. I am updating my review because Customer Service reached out to me to discuss the problem I had in reaching them, and in doing so discussed in length with me the miscommunication, as well as the questions I had with the combs.
I use the HS6450 Tail comb as my last comb to ensure all tangles are removed before twisting my hair in sections. Again a lot less hair comes out, and I am able to count the hairs that are removed from the comb.
The representative that I spoke with, Tasha, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the combs.

great product however it would be much better if it were made with the same materials and techniques as the MAGIC line. The MAGIC line is smoother and glides through my hair effortlessly!!!! this comb feels a bit stiff and the teeth feel sharp against my scalp whereas The MAGIC line feels completely smooth.

Hercules Sagemann’s intensive manufacturing process includes well over one hundred steps, diamond cutters, hand sawn and polishing techniques to create these combs.
We are unable to give a complete comparison of which comb you may have from the Magic Star line. However, please know that all of the combs were designed for different purposes. The HS6450, a solid and sturdy tail comb, is used for the parting and smoothing of small and large hair sections. Therefore, it needs to be able to withstand the weight of heavy hair sections for the stylist or home user.
The teeth of the HS6450 have the appropriate shape or point for a tail comb. All tail combs whether high end/superior or cheap/inferior in quality, have teeth with a point. This is a common characteristic of a tail comb. The issue may arise with how the end user angles the comb. Many people may choose to use the comb with the teeth directly on the scalp. Whereas a downward angle is a more accurate angle to hold the comb. Many other factors are considered such as a person’s hair texture (curly or straight), will give some indication of how to correctly angle a comb.

I needed a comb that would easily part my hair but not snag it or break it off in the process. This comb does just that. It is comfortable to hold, sturdy and the pointed tip easily glides through my transitioning hair. I can make much thinner, straighter parts with this comb than I could when I used the teeth of other full-sized combs. I probably won’t use the teeth side of the comb because I use the Contour Comb for the second and third stages of detangling. my hair. I wish that the Contour comb had the tail for parting instead of having to make a separate purchase to get that feature. Overall, the HS6450 is a good comb for parting and I’d recommend it to my friends.
